Social Media Guidelines

We encourage your comments, questions and conversation to engage with Valencia and the community. Using our page means posting in a courteous and respectful way. 

Each post and other content is bound by and subject to Valencia policies and procedures, including without limitation the college’s Acceptable Use Policy, the college’s Valencia Student Code of Conduct and the college’s Discrimination Harassment and Related Conduct (Sexual Harassment) Policy.

The college prohibits the transmission of any material that is deemed intimidating, threatening, harassing, disruptive, or is otherwise in violation of applicable laws, regulations, rules and policies concerning such conduct with regard to these public communications. Included in that is the use of profanity or terms that make derogatory references to race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, and other personal characteristics.

We reserve the right to remove content, as well as block users who continue to violate our guidelines.

Valencia’s brand standards offers tools to help communicators represent the college in social media channels. More important than how we “look,” is how we behave.
